Description: Job Title: Lead Software EngineerJob Location: Salt Lake City, UTJob ID: CS20232504-100054We are seeking a senior software developer to work in the L3Harris communications modeling and simulation group.Our group develops a virtual flight test environment for advancement of the latest communication technologies. Software developers in this group are exposed to the latest software development standards and techniques. We utilize modern C++, Go, Python and other software languages, We leverage virtualization, advanced databases, and custom 3D graphics. This senior software developer should well in a group and can learn fast.Position Responsibilities Include:

Develop simulation software
Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and formal testing
Contribute to software test plans, procedures, and other relevant technical documentation
Participate in peer reviews, identify, track and repair defects
Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team
Utilize a variety of software languages on Windows, Linux and embedded real time operating systems Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.Preferred Qualifications:
  - Advanced proficiency with C++
  - Experience with high performance and multi-threaded programming
  - Demonstrates depth of knowledge in programming languages, compilers, and application execution
  - Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn outside of core discipline
  - Experience with hands-on software development and troubleshooting large complex systems
  - Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
