Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Mechanical Estimator with
capability and experience in mechanical systems estimating to
support a major construction effort for the Sentinel Ground Based
Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This position will be located
in Roy, UT.Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment,
development, production and deployment of hardware and system
modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground
and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and
associated infrastructure.What you will get to do:The selected
individual will possess a proven track record of performing
multi-discipline design and construction mechanical estimating
services supporting major federal construction programs. The GBSD
(Sentinel) program is a series of complex aerospace / construction
initiatives with a challenging, interesting series of
projects.Experience would include: Estimating conceptual through

(labor, material and subcontractor) within primary estimating
discipline; Participate in bid evaluations working with team of
estimators, other support staff, and executives; Work as a part ofa
preconstruction team participating in Constructability Reviews,
Value Engineering exercises, meeting and working with design
professionals and subcontractor partners; Supporting major proposal
development by developing estimates, pricing proposals and
narrative to support capture of new work.Daily tasks include but
not limited to: Work in several delivery formats such as cost
reimbursable, fixed price, design build, guaranteed maximum price,
etc. Analyze drawings, specifications, RFP documents, and
subcontractor proposals. Estimate utilizing uni-format and CSI
format breakdown of estimate. Develop subcontractor bid list and
solicit subcontractors for bidding. Maintain relationships with
subcontractors within primary estimating discipline. Discuss scope
and pricing during bid period with subcontractors. Fully scope
subcontractors to ensure pricing and scope are complete and
accurate. Understand and participate in providing scheduling input
and feedback related to primary estimating discipline. Write
contractual scope of work(s) within primary estimating discipline.
Work with individuals in other departments (Scheduling, Operations,
Proposal Preparation, Safety, Supply Chain, etc.). Producing
milestone estimates.You'll Bring These Qualifications: Principal
Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction
Management, or other related discipline with 5 Years with Bachelors
in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD or an additional
4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree Senior Principal
Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction
Management, or other related discipline with 9 Years with Bachelors
in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD or an additional
4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree Ability to obtain
and maintain DoD Secret Clearance 5+ years estimating experience
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Proficient in the use of industry standard estimating tools Willing
to travel on an as needed basisThese Qualifications Would be Nice
to Have: Master's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management,
or other related discipline; Formal professional certification
(PMP, CPE).Salary Range: $79,700 USD $119,500 USDSalary Range 2:
$98,700 USD $148,100 USDEmployees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
