Job Description:

Provide support to either Project Manager or mid-level/junior Engineering/Science personnel in the areas of scheduling, data gathering/limited analyses, database population, preparation of technical/project reports, test reports, and associated documentation Participate in test or project events as assigned by Project Manager or Engineering supervisor Assist with On-Aircraft modifications and installations as required Follow engineering guidance, technical orders, and drawings Perform moderately complex assembly/test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, test equipment, and inspection measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment (OJT) Perform and inspect wire terminations and wire harness assembly (OJT) Produces and inspects assemblies that conform to customer product specifications (OJT) Assemble, tests, and/or solders as required per customer and/or industry standards (OJT) Perform electrical checkout of manufactured wire harnesses (OJT) Document records identifying compliance with assigned tasks regarding wire harness manufacturing (OJT) Establish, organize & maintain detailed inventory of government, customer and KIHOMAC property (OJT) Train and assist other technicians on techniques and procedures Lay out/assemble units for production according to designs, specifications and work instructions Modify equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as per predetermined processes (OJT) Maintain high ethical/professional standards of performance, demeanor, and judgment at all times Participate in test or project events as assigned by Project Manager or Engineering supervisor Observe all safety rules and maintains a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area Maintain a clean work area Work unsupervised at times Report status and results Some travel required. Other duties as assigned Requirements Education/Training (both required and desired): High School diploma required Associate's Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline desired IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC J-STD-001 Certification desired Security:o Must be a US citizeno Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in the required task area required USAF Aircraft maintenance and wiring experience desired Able to comprehend schematics, logic drawings, layouts, wire lists, and prints Ability to use various hand tools, soldering equipment, and machinery Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail required Basic understanding of electrical circuits required Wire Termination experience required Knowledge of cable assembly procedures desired Ability to communicate clearly and effectively required Basic knowledge or understanding of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC J-STD-001 desired Capable of standing for long periods of time Able to work cross functionally in other areas as needed
