lifetime. Job Summary and Qualifications The Patient Safety and
Risk Management Specialist is responsible for coordination and
resolution of complaints and grievances made by patients and their
representatives according to CMS and TJC guidelines and assisting
with the quality and risk management functions of the hospital with
a specific focus on patient safety. You will: Assist with data
collection, data entry, analysis of data, and compilation of
reports in various computer systems and databases. Be involved with
medical record review, chart reviews, data analysis and compilation
of reports as assigned. Assist with the execution of the Quality,
Risk, and Patient Safety hospital plans and the development of
performance improvement projects or tasks as assigned. Have a
working knowledge of all Performance Improvement initiatives,
Quality Dashboards, Patient Complaints and Grievances, Risk
Management and Patient Safety activities. Assist with preparation
for regulatory surveys and action that may result from those
surveys. What qualifications you will need: Current State of Utah
Registered Nurse license, compact license accepted, must obtain
Utah RN license within 90 days of employment. BSN or equivalent
degree Skills relating to data collection and statistical analysis,
process improvement process and the ability to work well with
patients/families, nursing, and ancillary staff, and physicians are
required by the position. Needs good computer skills, communication
skills, writing ability and experience with database software i.e.
Microsoft Excel. RN with at least 5 years acute care experience
