General Information Unit Specifics: Number of Beds : 15 Patient
Ratios : 1:5 with occasional 1:6 Unit staffing description- (unit
secretaries and tech availability) : The unit qualifies for a tech
at 10-15 patients, no unit secretaries, the charge nurse is within
ratio. Type of equipment : Transfer equipment readily available as
needed (ex: sara steady, Hoyer lift, etc.). We just became wired
for cardiac telemetry. We have IV equipment, kangaroo pumps for
tube feedings. Documentation system: Meditech Scheduling
requirements: Shifts are 5-5. Prioritizing a day shift need, but
also in need for night shift help. Floating policy: Contract labor
is first to float. Patient Experience requirements: Round with your
patients each shift and ensure they being prepared for discharge
adequately. Hospital Specifics- Certifications: BLS Hiring profile
Requested Skill Set: Med/surg nursing, if you have rehabilitation
background even better but not required. Must have: Med/surg
training Advanced skills needed: Transfer training of patients
safely Procedures performed on unit: ADLs, 1:1 patient mealtime,
mobility transfers of patients. Lines: Foley care, NG management,
PICC and midline care. Certifications Required: BLS, NIHHS
(preferred not required) Dress Code: (Required uniform) Scrubs-
Navy top and bottom Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit
specific policies and guidelines. We are heavily regulated by CMS
guidelines. Our patients are required to participate with therapy 3
hours each day with PT, OT, and/or ST. Any additional information
