Job Description:

The RN Clinical Expanded III has specialized clinical expertise and uses a breadth and depth of knowledge and complex skills. This position provides clinical expertise, consultation, education and research to their designated area or specialty focus and identifies, coordinates, and evaluates projects and assignments.. This position serves as a change agent by accepting and facilitating change. The incumbent is proactive and assumes a clinical leadership position.

This RN position will provide strong leadership for the Operating Room Department at Layton Hospital.

This position will work with:

Developing and implementing OR projects and programs.
Developing and maintain professional relationships with Surgical Services providers.
Coordinating providers and staff needs and expectations.
Ensures and initiates standardization of Surgical Services protocols, policies, and procedures for patient care and delivery.
Coordinates policy development with regional and enterprise-wide OR initiatives.
Coordinates with Surgical Services Education Consultant to facilitate development and implementation of education and training.

Minimum Qualifications

Current RN License in the state of Utah.
BLS Certification for healthcare providers.
Unit specific certification as required (i.e., ACLS, PALS, etc.).

(Applicants must either have required additional certifications (e.g. ACLS, PALs, NRP) upon hire or must obtain them within a specified timeframe determined by service line and department guidelines.)

RNs hired or promoted into this role need to have or obtain their BSN within three years of hire or promotion.
Two years of clinical nursing experience.
Experience in assigned clinical area.
Leadership and mentoring experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
Operating Room RN experience.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.--

$42.70 - $61.93
