Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Senior Principal
Structural Engineer on the Infrastructure Design Team (INF). This
role supports the design, modeling, and integration efforts for
Civil/Structural, Mechanical and Electrical elements for Sentinel
Launch Facilities, Launch Centers, or Test Facilities. This
position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel

Employee Discounts This position’s standard work schedule is a
9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day
Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role
may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. Basic
Qualifications: Sr. Principal Structural Engineer: Bachelor's
degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
discipline from an accredited university with 8 years of
experience, 6 years of experience with Master's degree, 4 years of
experience with PhD Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret
Clearance with investigation date within 5 years U.S. Citizenship
with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) Experience
running dynamic and static analysis Experience in any of the
following: ABAQUS, ANSYS, FEMAP (w/Nastran) Demonstrated ability to
collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines (e.g. Systems
Engineering, Design, Test) in a highly integrated team environment
Proficient in programming and use of MATLAB (or equivalent) for
analysis and data manipulation Proficient writer and able to
verbally communicate technical content Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient writer and able to verbally communicate technical
content Advanced or expert proficiency with ABAQUS, FEMAP, and
ANSYS Exposure to structural test applications Experience with
seismic analysis (ASCE 7) Exposure to missiles program requirements
& with propulsion Navigate through NX 3D models and CPLM TeamCenter
CPLM experience Strong oral and written communication skills,
including demonstrated experience with high value customer
presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with
competing priorities. Demonstrated experience in making sound
decisions in uncertain and difficult situations. Strong sense of
urgency and work ethic in ensuring engineering meets customer and
program expectations in a timely and efficient manner. Experience
in leading/supporting a development engineering team. Demonstrated
experience working with customers to ensure project success.
Experience in performing in an Agile environment and
knowledge/understanding of JIRA. Primary Level Salary Range:
$122,800.00 - $184,200.00 The above salary range represents a
general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of
factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability
insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off
